How Texas Builders Handle Snow Days…

Texas is Covered in Snow and Ice but we’re still Working, just out of Our Home Office! We’re without Water & Electricity but we’re all fine! Just Regretting being Lazy & not Showering the Day before all this began!

So, this is Our Life for now… Rob Kelly is Nanooked up, he & Dog Riley are headed down stairs, for a “Field Trip” to the Car to Charge all the “Electronic necessities”! At least they’ll be Warm and yes, I made sure they had #Snacks for their outing! 

Meanwhile, our 30 year old Son, Trent is Bundled up in Bed, wearing the same Home Clothes he’s been in all week but he’s Working away on his laptop! In case you’re Wondering... it’s Really not one of those “Failure to Launch” Situations!😬 We’re actually living with him until our Home is Built & then we’re OUT! Enough with this #Togetherness!

Mom who lives in Austin just called and has water Pouring in from her ceiling! We walked her through how to shut off the Water but she couldn’t get it to budge! We called our Friends @Ross Plumbing and they were on their way but Thankfully, Mom’s Fireman Neighbor came to save the Day and even offered to help clean up all the Water!

My Sister lives on a Ranch in Bryan, Texas, they’ve been without Power & Water as well. 👈🏼Look at their TEXAS Brilliance! They have an HVAC Family Business. She just text Mom & I about all the Service calls for broken Heaters! Her 1st Question is… Do you have Power and they’re mostly answering, “ No!” Ha! That sounds Exactly like a Call I would make!😬

As for me, I’m Hunkered down on the writing Couch with my “Smart” Glove, Robe & Furry Slippers on! Yes, I said Glove, I’ve apparently misplaced the right one & yep, I’m right handed! So I’ve got the left glove on my right hand but it makes my ring finger the “Smart” finger! I know, I’m Confusing myself! However, God’s Sense of Humor is not lost on me! I’m Cracking myself up as I’m pretty awkward & uncoordinated in general so throwing a left handed Smart glove into the mix has caused some major Work & Productivity Challenges!

Anywho, I’m Shivering as I’m Creating this #Blog which I’ve been Reluctant to do as I’m “Really” not all that interested in Writing about Home, Commercial, Modular Building and Construction!
